How to Get the Purple Gem in Lights Out in Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy

Crash Bandicoot Lights Out

Getting the Purple Gem in Lights Out in Crash Bandicoot — the first game in the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy — is not all that difficult. However, before attempting this, you’ll need to have acquired the Yellow Gem in The Lab.

There are only 15 boxes in this whole stage, and none of them are hiding, so the only challenging part is completing the stage without dying.

Normally, we’d advise you to proceed slowly and with caution, but that doesn’t work so well with this level. The glow of the Aku Aku Mask is all you have to see by, and if you tarry too long, the mask grows dim, leaving you stranded in the dark.

Thankfully, Lights Out has a rhythm. You’ll probably want to attempt the Time Trial in this level first, so you can get a feel for that rhythm. Once you do, the level is a cinch. Plus, you can ride the gem platform to get the secret stash of boxes, as well as the secret exit.

This even lets you skip the toughest section of the stage.
