Crash Bandicoot 2 Has an Uncharted 4 Easter Egg Featuring a Crash Bandicoot Easter Egg

Crash Bandicoot 2 Uncharted Easter Egg

The Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy is a pretty faithful remake of three beloved Crash Bandicoot games. However, that doesn’t mean that developer Vicarious Visions didn’t throw in some Easter eggs that certainly weren’t in the original PlayStation versions — unless there’s time travel involved.

See, in the opening of Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back, there is a quick overhead shot of Crash and his sister Coco. Coco has her laptop open, and we can very briefly see something on the screen before the battery dies and the screen goes black. What is that something?

Well, if you zoom in and rotate the above image, you can get a pretty good look at it.

If you’ve played 2016’s Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, this image should look familiar. There was a scene in Uncharted 4 where Nathan Drake and his wife Elena play a level from the original Crash Bandicoot.

So what we’re seeing on Coco’s laptop is an Uncharted 4 Easter egg, which is itself an Easter egg for the original Crash Bandicoot. There’s an Inception joke to be made, but I’m not going to make it. Nope. Not right now.
