The teaser trailer for Star Wars Battlefront II was supposed to be kept secret until its grand April 15 reveal at Star Wars Celebration 2017. But things don’t always go the way they’re planned, and a shorter version of this trailer leaked a few days early.
During the event’s weekend of Star Wars trailers and other cool reveals, the Battlefront II trailer did finally launch in an official capacity. Since we’d already seen some of of it — and we’ve been well aware of its three-era scope and even its Last Jedi pre-order bonuses — it packs a bit less oomf than it would have had we waited for it. Still, the version revealed at Star Wars Celebration was longer and had more stuff than the leaked trailer.
I think it’s okay at this point to be at least a little bit excited about Battlefront II. While I know this is an unpopular opinion, I loved EA’s 2015 Star Wars Battlefront game. And this sequel looks to cover a whole lot of ground that the previous game skipped over.
