Shadow of the Colossus is one of the most beloved video games of all time. For anyone who’s played it, it’s not difficult to see why. For anyone who didn’t, well, now you’re going to get yet another chance to experience one of the most beautiful and heartbreaking video games ever made.
Shadow of the Colossus is finally coming to PS4. No, it’s not another HD upgrade; this looks like a full-on remake.
And it’s undeniably gorgeous.
Seeing iconic scenes from the PS2 era rendered in such loving care surely brought tears to several previously dry eyes. Just look at this shot of the first colossus:
Sony’s press conference at E3 2017 was loaded with gameplay footage. But even so, it felt a little lackluster when compared with some previous years (2015 was particularly memorable).
So the unexpected Shadow of the Colossus reveal stood out as a, well, colossus among the rest.
