Final Fantasy XV Episode Prompto: How to Complete Every Side Quest

Final Fantasy XV: Episode Prompto

Final Fantasy XV‘s Episode Prompto DLC comes with a fair share of side quests, which allow you to upgrade your trusty snowmobile. So if you want the fastest, toughest snowmobile around, you’ll definitely want to complete as many of them as you can.

After you camp out in the cave for the first time (and begin the Moving Forward quest), you’ll enter the open world-ish portion of the expansion. This is when side quests become available.

Keep in mind that these quests are repeatable, so you can keep completing them until you’ve got your snowmobile’s stats maxed out.

Here’s the complete list to side quests in Final Fantasy XV Episode Prompto.

My Little Garulet

Final Fantasy XV: Episode Prompto

This quest seems like it has a very high chance of being the first side quest marked on your minimap in the morning. it can be found in this location:

Final Fantasy XV: Episode Prompto

If you follow your map, you will eventually come upon a garulet that’s being attacked by a pack of flexitusks. Your job is to rescue it. Be careful though, it’s very easy to accidentally kill the garulet in the process, which causes the quest to fail.

An easy strategy is to run over as many flexitusks as you can with the first pass of your snowmobile. This causes the enemies to be vulnerable, so you can use your crackshot to defeat them quickly.

Once you finish that task, you’ll be rewarded with 5 CPUs, 5 Elixirs, and 2 Phoenix Down. Our recommendation is to invest the CPUs into speed, which will come in handy later on.

The Snow-walking Dead

Final Fantasy XV: Episode Prompto

This quest also seems like it has a very high chance of appearing as your first quest on any morning. (On days when My Little Garulet is the first quest on your map, it seems like this one shows up at 9:00.)

You can head straight there, but be warned that it’s quite a long drive up the mountain to a hidden base.

You’ll want to set out from the cave and head almost directly south. Here’s a map that shows the exact location:

The goal here is straightforward: take out several waves of enemies. Be careful to stay inside the green circle on your minimap, because it seems like wandering out of it can bug out the quest or cancel it altogether.

This is also a great opportunity to collect selfies for the Field Photographer Trophy, and to even score a few crackshots for the Sharp Shooting Trophy.

Crazy MotorSleigh

Final Fantasy XV: Episode Prompto

This quest seems to appear whenever we manage to complete The Snow-walking Dead by about 11:00, and it’s very close to the same location. It’s a simple race down the mountain. This why we advised you to spend your CPU on speed boosts earlier.

The trickiest part is fighting against the camera, which tends to go a bit wonky toward the bottom of the slope. Thankfully, you can hit the L1 button to force the camera to pan out a little ways, giving you more visibility. Pressing L1 again puts you into a first-person viewpoint.

This course isn’t all that punishing, and even if you screw up a few times, it shouldn’t be too tricky to complete the race.

Conservation Order no. 128

Final Fantasy XV: Episode Prompto

At 13:00, a new quest appears close to your camp. This one’s a doozy.

You’re required to defeat a group of soldiers alongside a level 99 mech. There’s an ammo shack nearby, so you can attempt to grab some weapons and go to town, but the mech is very aggressive and very willing to target Prompto when he’s running for guns.

Here’s a quick tip: If you can hit the mech’s missile launcher when it’s firing a barrage of missiles, you’ll do massive damage. You’ll see a glowing bit of red protrude from the launcher, and that’s when it’s time to strike.

Finish this one for 10 CPUs, 5 Elixirs, and 2 Phoenix Downs.

Emperor of the Angoris

Final Fantasy XV: Episode Prompto

This one seems to show up around 15:00. You’ll know you’ve found it when you see a quest marked at this location:

This quest asks you to defeat the kaiser behemoth, which earns you the An Emperor Deposed Trophy.

Avalanche of Steel

Final Fantasy XV: Episode Prompto

This one shows up at about 17:00, and it takes place very close to The Snow-Walking Dead.

All you have to do is dodge missiles that are raining down from the sky. Use your jump and dodge a lot, and make sure you’re stocked up on Phoenix Down and you should be okay.

Buried in the Snow

Final Fantasy XV: Episode Prompto

This one appears at about 19:00, and it’s in pretty much the same location as Avalanche of Steel.

All you have to do for this one is run around and find CPUs buried in the snow. They’re not tricky to find, because they sparkle in the snow — and by this point it’s getting darker so the sparkles tend to be pretty obvious.

Final Fantasy XV: Episode Prompto

You’ll be rewarded with 5 CPUs, 5 Elixirs, and 2 Phoenix Down.

Blinded by White

Final Fantasy XV: Episode Prompto

This one appears at about 22:00. It asks you to defeat a bunch of Snaga, some ice bombs, some Alberich, and then a deathclaw.

The deathclaw is the hardest part of this fight, but it happens close to a weapons shed, so you can pick up more powerful weapons and go to town.

Final Fantasy XV: Episode Prompto

When the deathclaw goes down, you’ll get 5 CPUs, 5 Elixirs, and 2 Phoenix Down.

Ghost in the Snow

Expect to find this one if you stay up really, really late. Like 2:00 or 3:00. You’ll find it close to camp, in this location:

Final Fantasy XV: Episode Prompto

This is another battle against Snaga and ice bombs, but it happens all at once instead of in waves and there’s no deathclaw. It’s not that hard, but there are no weapon sheds around and the garulessa that are nearby will often join the fray.

But if you can stop these baddies, you’ll earn 5 CPUs, 5 Elixirs, and 2 Phoenix Down.

Law of the Wild

Final Fantasy XV: Episode Prompto

This one pops at 5:00. It’s a battle against some pretty tough baddies, including an elder coeurl, a treant, and a bandersnatch.

Surprisingly, it’s the coeurl that’s the toughest, since it’s ridiculously fast and it can heal itself. Use Aranea’s Highwind skill to make it vulnerable and pelt it with crackshots. Also, try to not let it run away and hide in a corner, because that means it’s getting ready to heal.

Final Fantasy XV: Episode Prompto

There’s a weapon shed nearby, but the coeurl is so quick that it’s hard to get to.

Pound through those three enemies, and you’ll earn 3 CPUs, 5 Elixirs, and 2 Phoenix Down.

The Climb

Final Fantasy XV: Episode Prompto

This quest appears if you manage to find a certain path during a snowstorm. Here’s the location:

Final Fantasy XV: Episode Prompto

Once you head to the correct spot, the snowstorm and the quest should both trigger automatically.

All you have to do is follow the path to complete the quest, and your reward is that you’ll end up at the top of the mountain — pretty close to where you did The Snow-walking Dead. It’s quite useful if you want to get to the top quickly.

This quest isn’t repeatable, but you can use the path as a shortcut up the mountain any time you want.
