Pillars of Eternity was a major Kickstarter success back in 2012 under the title Project Eternity. With that crowdfunding campaign, Obsidian Entertainment proved there was a massive audience hungering for an old school RPG experience sort of along the lines of Baldur’s Gate. The game launched for PC in 2015.
But those without decent gaming PCs were left behind. I personally donated with an overly optimistic prediction about my future gaming PC situation. Unfortunately, I never got to play the game that I’d helped to fund.
But that’s all about to change, as Pillars of Eternity: Complete Edition will be coming to PS4 and Xbox One on August 29. This version will retail for $49.99 and will include two expansions, The White March parts 1 and 2.
You can pre-order the game in digital or physical format right now.
