How to Get the Absolutely Safe Capsule Spirit in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Super Smash Bros Ultimate - Absolutely Safe Capsule

Nintendo won’t release Mother 3 in the United States. Perhaps it’s due to the poor reception EarthBound (Mother 2 in Japan) had back when it launched (though a good portion of the blame for that can probably be placed on the game’s bizarre ad campaign). Still, Nintendo will go to no ends to tease Mother fans with references to the final game in the beloved series.

Case in point, the Absolutely Safe Capsule makes an appearance in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

So how does one earn the Absolutely Safe Capsule Spirit? Well, it’s actually pretty easy, though not straightforward. The Absolutely Safe Capsule is one of the many Spirits that can be Summoned so long as you possess the prerequisite Spirits. However, one of those prerequisite Spirits must also be Summoned.

So first off, you’ll need to Summon Mr. Saturn, who requires the Specknose and Qbby Spirits. Once you Summon Mr. Saturn, you can Summon Absolutely Safe Capsule with Mr. Saturn’s core, plus six cores from Shield Type Spirits. These can be any Shield-Type Spirits — the particular one doesn’t matter — so you probably want to burn your low-level, Novice-tier Spirits on this rather than lose your Legends.

The Absolutely Safe Capsule Spirit is actually interesting in how it functions, because it sacrifices absolutely everything for defense. This Spirit has no skills, and no slots for Support Spirits. It also has a 0 Attack skill. However, look at that defense stat:

Yes, the defense STARTS at +4,886. So what happens when you level this thing up to 99? Well, you get a +10,000 defense stat.

Not bad, huh?
