A brand-new full trailer for Spider-Man: Homecoming has dropped, and boy howdy, is it a doozy.
Admittedly, I’ve been cooling on Marvel movies lately, and the Iron Fist TV series was a flop of epic proportions. So when I saw that a new Spider-Man: Homecoming‘s trailer was up, I was hoping for the best but, of course, expecting just barely good enough.
But let me tell you, “the best” doesn’t even begin to sum up this trailer.
Spider-Man: Homecoming looks like a refreshing hero movie that doesn’t get bogged down with saving the world, just the neighborhood, as Stark suggests.
The casting is pitch perfect. Tom Holland, of course, already got a chance to shine in Captain America: Civil War, and he damn near stole the show. (This was not an easy task, considering the star-studded lineup of that film.) Michael Keaton looks to deliver another phenomenal performance, and Marissa Tomei — does she get more and more beautiful with age, some sort of a Benjamin Button of Hollywood actresses?
The friend character seems like a great addition to the cast, the suit looks amazing, and most importantly, I’m completely willing to buy that this is a high school-aged Peter Parker who’s saving the day and having fun while doing it.
I’m pumped. I’m geeked. Welcome home, Spider-Man.
