How to Get the Clear Gem in Hang Eight in Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy

Crash Bandicoot 2 Hang Eight

It’s not that difficult to get the Clear Gems in Hang Eight in Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back — part of the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy.

Note that there are two Clear Gems in this stage, and this guide focuses on what we’ll call the first one. We have a separate guide for getting the second one, so check that out if you’re looking for the speed run Gem.

The first Gem, though, is a traditional Clear Gem challenge, meaning you must smash all of the boxes in the Hang Eight stage. Of course, first you must collect the Blue Gem in Turtle Woods. If you’re not sure how, check out our guide by clicking here.

Most of the boxes are in plain sight, but you’ll need to use the gem platform that appears once you collect the Blue Gem mentioned above.

Ride this gem platform to a new path, where a good portion of the boxes in this level are.

There is one tricky part, where you’ll have to ride your surfboard past some transparent boxes.

Once you pass two mines that are moving back and forth, you’ll find an exclamation mark box.

Hit that, then carefully head back to the transparent boxes, which should all be solid now. Use the jumps to hit the hovering boxes.

And once you get to the next dock, don’t forget to explode all the Nitro Crates by hitting the green exclamation mark box.

And that’s really all there is to it.
